A Psalm of David.

,} ^bVindicate me, O Lord, for I have ^cwalked in my integrity,
And I have ^dtrusted in the Lord ^{▼▼ Lit I do not slide
,} ^fwithout wavering.
2 ^gExamine me, O Lord, and try me;
^hTest my ^{▼▼ Lit kidneys, figurative for inner man}mind and my heart.
3 For Your ^jlovingkindness is before my eyes,
And I have ^kwalked in Your ^{▼▼ Or faithfulness}truth.
4 I do not ^msit with ^{▼▼ Or worthless men; lit men of falsehood}deceitful men,
Nor will I go with ^{▼▼ Or dissemblers, hypocrites
,} ^ppretenders.
5 I ^qhate the assembly of evildoers,
And I will not sit with the wicked.
6 I shall ^rwash my hands in innocence,
And I will go about ^sYour altar, O Lord,
7 That I may proclaim with the voice of ^tthanksgiving
And declare all Your ^{▼▼ Or miracles}wonders.

8 O Lord, I ^vlove the habitation of Your house
And the place ^{▼▼ Lit of the tabernacle of Your glory}where Your ^xglory dwells.
9 ^yDo not ^{▼▼ Lit gather}take my soul away along with sinners,
Nor my life with ^aamen of bloodshed,
10 In whose hands is a ^abwicked scheme,
And whose right hand is full of ^acbribes.
11 But as for me, I shall ^adwalk in my integrity;
^aeRedeem me, and be gracious to me.
12 ^afMy foot stands on a ^aglevel place;
In the ^ahcongregations I shall bless the Lord.
